Amber Passmore 1987-2006 Amber was a very beautiful, bright loving young lady. She was loved by so many. Over 1,000 people attended her funeral services. Amber was very close to her family and was very special to her younger brother David and older sister Amanda. Amber loved everyone and believed in random acts of kindness. Amber was an aid for the Special Ed. children at Clay Chalkville High School. She loved cars, drag racing, NASCAR, butterflies, and taking pictures. Amber was 18 years old, a member of DECA, worked at Yakety-Yak wireless and was two weeks away from her high school graduation. The children of Special Ed. Class were devastated by the passing of a beautiful and caring person. On the weekends she was frequently seen at the car shows and drag races, all my hotrod buddies knew her well and saw her often. She was always ahead of the […]

Adam Meisner 1985 – 2004 Adam was the youngest of three children. He was different from our other children; restless, daring, stubborn and very silly. Going through school his teachers and coaches loved him or they thought he was a pain in the butt. Of course we understood, he knew how to yank our parental chains now and again. Adam lived a very full life in his 19 years. He won a corporate scholarship and spent one summer in Sweden and Denmark. He played many high action sports like ice hockey, snow boarding and volleyball. His summer vacations were jam packed with camps and travel. Another summer he scuba-dived in the Florida Keys. Adam loved to volunteer which made him wiser and more appreciative of what he had than most kids his age. As a family we did mission work in rural Maine for many years, where Adam learned first […]

Matthew LeBeau 1979 – 2003 We were graced with the presence of our son Matthew LeBeau for 23 years 8 months and 9 days. He was born on November 03, 1979 and passed away on July 13, 2003 at the age of 23 from a brain aneurysm. We will remember and miss him forever. Matthew had the most beautiful blue eyes that just sparkled with innocent mischief. He was absolutely the happiest child anyone could wish for. Matthew was a wonderful brother to his brother Michael and his sisters, Jennifer and JayCee. Matthew worked for his dad and was his “right hand man” but this was true of their relationship in every area of their lives. He is missed more that words can express. Matthew was a mama’s boy and he was proud of it. I miss his laughter and his sweet “I’ll give you […]

Jessica Kaplan 1978 – 2003 Jessica Kaplan was courageous, honorable, tenacious, a comic, and a romantic of the highest order. She was also an accomplished writer who believed that, because you write what you are, you had better live an interesting life. She had an old mind which belied her age, and, while generous and consistently loyal to those she loved or respected, she could be stubborn to the point of arrogance about her artistic vision. Jessica died far too young at 24, robbing the world of a gracious soul and a most original artistic voice. She began writing professionally at 15, lying about her age to work for a magazine reviewing films. At 17, she sold her first screenplay, “Powers That Be” to New Line Cinema. Jessica went on to pen a number of original scripts, adaptations from other media, and a television pilot. She considered it to be […]

Ben Jasper 1998-2006 Ben was 8 years old when he passed in August 06. He had cerebral palsy and epilepsy (West Syndrome) and generaly had complex health problems. Although he was unable to sit unaided or talk he was an extremely loving and brave little man. He always had a smile for us, even when I’m sure he couldn’t have felt like smiling. He loved animals and had many, including guinea-pigs, a labrador and a donkey. He had big blue eyes and hair that would go blonde in the summer. He had such long eyelashes, all the girls were jealous. He delighted us with his laughter. We had never known love like the love he gave us. He was our life, our love, our beautiful boy.
