In November 2004, I attended, along with a group of mothers, an Our House fund-raising event. Our House is an organization that provides grief therapy for parents and siblings. I have been attending group therapy sessions with these parents since Erika died.

The evening was very rewarding and successful for Our House. It was our honor to be there. At one point during the evening, our table was asked to stand up and honor our children who had died. We received a gracious round of applause. I don't know what I would do without these mothers in my life.
